1. Preheat the oven to 375°F. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick cooking spray.
2. In a large bowl, add your softened butter, brown sugar, spices, vanilla and egg. Mix until combined.
3. Gradually add in your flour and mix after each addition until all of it is incorperated together. Once all of the flour is combined with the sugar and eggs mixture, you can mix in your apple and nuts.
4. Scoop out one tablespoon portions of the batter and put them on the cookie sheet about 1 inch apart. Bake for about 10-12 minutes. Allow ~3 minutes for the cookies to cool before removing them from the pan
• I don't know if I can really say I "stole" this recipe because I changed pretty much everything about it, the original is very plain. For the sake of accurate sources, here's the link:LINK but once again I don't really care about "stealing" a recipe from a giant corportation, so.
• I use self-rising flour as it's what I have in my house and it's convinent. If you don't have it, you can substitute it for all-purpose flour, 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda and 1/2 teaspoon salt instead. Mix the flour, salt, and baking soda together in a separate bowl beforehand and then add it into the butter and spices mixture like usual.
• It makes little difference whether the butter is just soft or completely melted. If you forgot to take it out of the fridge feel free to put it in the microwave, the recipe will come out pretty much exactly the same and still delicious.
• Like literally everything I bake I usually add more vanilla than the recipe calls for. Feel free to add two teaspoons if you really want to.
• This recipe makes about ~20-30 cookies. (I never count exactly but it's in that range.)
